He signed knowing that-- so he has to honor the contract he signed, regardless of the team he went to. He can't claim ignorance when they knew what they were getting into, Jake. He shouldn't have signed in the KHL if he didn't want this to happen.

And sports are not real-life unless you're actually in the game. Unless you're playing at a professional level, it's all entertainment and a way to get away from real-life.ScottyWazzhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/08605286743517312283noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-9101518.post-36138624131064261302011-02-18T11:01:16.348-07:002011-02-18T11:01:16.348-07:00Honor what commitment? he made one to the Red Wing...Honor what commitment? he made one to the Red Wings that the NHL won't allow him to honor. He made no commitment to the NYI or anyone else.
As to the article... The fact Nabokov even had the chance to come back to the NHL after stinking up the KHL is something he should be greatful for.

He was quoted as saying that he can't help the Isles. That made me angry...I think about all the guys in the minors and Europe who think that they CAN help the Isles.

Suck it up, honour your commitment, play your heart out and then maybe at the end of the year, he will get signed by a team he really wants to play for.Baseballislife1984https://www.blogger.com/profile/00798584224684604100noreply@blogger.com
